Step 1: Preparation

Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface. Switch off the ignition and remove the key. Prepare your tool: screwdriver, pliers, insulating tape and, if necessary, a soldering iron.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Open the cover of the old indicators by loosening the screws. Carefully separate the cables of the turn signals and remove the turn signals from the bracket.

Step 3: attach resistance

The supplied resistors are necessary to regulate the flashing frequency. Connect the resistances according to the instructions. Make sure to isolate the cables well to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: Install new turn signals

Insert the new LED indicators in the bracket. Connect the cables of the new turn signals to the corresponding cables of the motorcycle. Make sure the connections are firm and safe.

Step 5: function test

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Make sure that you flash evenly and that no error messages are displayed. Also check the function of the resistance.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

Clean the turn signals regularly and check the cable connections. Make sure that no moisture can penetrate. Check and replace the resistors if necessary if they are damaged.

How often should I check the indicators?

It is recommended to check the indicators for their function at least once a month, especially before long journeys.

Can I install the LED indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the LED blinkers can usually be carried out yourself as long as you have basic knowledge of electrical engineering and the necessary tools.
