Step 1: Preparation
Make sure you have all the tools and materials required. This includes the new LED blinkers, resistances, screwdrivers and possibly a multimeter for checking.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Switch off the motorcycle and remove the battery to avoid short circuits. Loosen the screws that hold the old indicators in place and carefully separate the cables.
Step 3: Install new turn signals
Place the new LED blinkers to the places provided and attach them to the screws. Make sure you lay the cables correctly to avoid damage.
Step 4: Mount resistance
Install the resistors in parallel with the indicators to regulate the flashing speed. Connect the cables according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 5: Checking the function
Connect the battery again and test the turn signals. Make sure that you flash evenly and that no error messages are displayed.
Step 6: Care of the indicators
Clean the turn signals regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Check the cable connections for corrosion and, if necessary, pull in the screws.
