Step 1: Preparation

Make sure that your Honda Africa Twin is safely on a stand. Wear protective gloves and glasses to protect yourself.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the ignition. Remove the screws that hold the old indicators and pull the plugs off.

Step 3: Mount new indicators

Place the new LED indicators in the places of the old indicators. Attach them with the supplied screws and connect the plugs.

Step 4: Install resistance

Install the supplied resistances in parallel to the indicators to regulate the flashing frequency. Make sure to connect the right cables.

Step 5: function test

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Make sure you flash properly and have the right frequency.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

Check the function of the turn signals and resistors regularly. If necessary, clean the indicators with a mild cleaning agent.

Question 1: Why do I need resistance for LED blinkers?

Resistance is necessary to adapt the flashing frequency of the LED indicators, since they consume less electricity compared to conventional light bulbs and otherwise flash too quickly.

Question 2: Are the LED indicators of E-test mark certified?

Yes, the LED blinkers offered are provided with an e-test mark, which means that they correspond to the European security standards.
