Step 1: Preparation

Before you start installation, make sure you have the right tools on hand, including a screwdriver, a pliers and insulating tape. Wear suitable protective equipment, such as gloves and safety glasses.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the ignition of your motorcycle. Remove the cover of the old indicators by loosening the screws. Carefully separate the electrical connections and remove the turn signals.

Step 3: Install resistors

Connect the new resistance to the cables of the turn signals. Make sure to correctly observe the polarity. Isolate the connections with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Use the new LED indicators in the brackets and attach them to the screws. Make sure you sit tight and don't wobble.

Step 5: Check connection

Check all electrical connections and make sure that the resistors are correctly connected. Make sure that there are no cables loose.

Step 6: Test the indicators

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash correctly and the speed of the flashing frequency is normal.

Question 1: Why do I need resistance for LED indicators?

LED indicators need resistors to regulate the flashing frequency and avoid overloading the electrical system. Without resistances, the indicators can flash too quickly or at all.

Question 2: Can I install the indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the indicators is relatively simple and can be carried out with basic tools. However, make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
