Step 1: Remove tools and materials

Before you start installing the LED blinkers, make sure that you have the following tools and materials: a screwdriver, a multimeter, the new LED indicators, resistors (e-test marks), cable ties and insulating tape.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Start removing the old indicators. Loosen the screws with the screwdriver and separate the electrical connections. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: attach resistance

In order to stabilize the flashing frequency, the resistances must be connected to the LED indicators. Connect any resistance in parallel to the LED indicators. Isolate the connections with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Assemble the new LED blinkers at the point of the old indicators. Make sure you are securely attached and the cables are well laid to avoid friction.

Step 5: carry out the function test

Check whether all indicators work properly by switching on the motorcycle and pressing the turn signal. Use the multimeter to check the voltage if necessary.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

Check the functionality of the indicators and resistors regularly. Clean the turn signals with a soft cloth and avoid aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the surface.

How long do LED turn signals last?

LED blinkers have a longer lifespan than conventional light bulbs and can last up to 50,000 hours, depending on the quality and the conditions under which they are used.

Can I install the indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the turn signals is relatively simple and can be carried out with basic tools yourself as long as you follow the instructions and take precautions.
