Step 1: Preparation

Before you start installing the new LED blinkers, make sure that you have all the necessary tools on hand. This includes a screwdriver, pliers, isolated cable connectors and possibly a drill if you have to drill new holes for the turn signals.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the battery to avoid short circuits. Loosen the screws of the old indicators and pull the cables off. Keep the screws for the new assembly.

Step 3: Connect cable

Connect the cables of the new LED blinker to the existing cables on the motorcycle. Make sure that the colors match (e.g. black on black, green on green). Use isolated cable connectors for a secure connection.

Step 4: Install resistance

In order to regulate the flashing of the LED indicators, resistors must be installed. Connect the resistors in parallel with the LED indicators. This prevents the indicators from flashing too quickly.

Step 5: mount new indicators

Position the new LED blinker at the desired location and attach them to the screws or new screws that are previously removed. Make sure the indicators sit tight and don't wobble.

Step 6: Test the indicators

Before you connect the battery again, check all the connections again. Connect the battery and test the new turn signals to ensure that you work correctly.

How long do LED turn signals last?

LED blinkers usually have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which makes it a long -lasting option compared to conventional incandescent lamps.

Do I need special tools for installation?

As a rule, you only need basic tools such as screwdrivers and pliers to carry out the installation. In some cases, a drill may be necessary if new holes have to be drilled for the indicators.
