Step 1: Preparation

Before you start replacing the turn signals, make sure you have all the tools you need: screwdriver, ring key, soldering iron and the new LED turn signals and resistors.

Step 2: Remove the old indicators

Start removing the old indicators. Loosen the screws that hold the indicators and carefully pull off the cables. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: Installation of the new LED indicators

Place the new LED blinkers in the place of the old indicators. Attach them with the screws and connect the cables. Make sure to consider the polarity.

Step 4: attach the resistance

To avoid flickering the LED indicators, you have to incorporate the resistances. Connect the resistors in parallel to the turn signal connections. Make sure everything is well insulated to avoid short circuits.

Step 5: Test the indicators

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Make sure that you flash evenly. If there are problems, check the connections and polarity.

Step 6: Care of the indicators

To extend the lifespan of the turn signals, regularly clean them from dirt and dust. Use a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth. Check the cables and connections for wear and tear occasionally.

How long do LED turn signals last?

LED blinkers usually have a longer lifespan than conventional incandescent lamps and can last up to 50,000 hours, depending on use and care.

Can I install the indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the indicators can be carried out by everyone with basic mechanical skills themselves. Make sure you carefully follow the instructions.
