Step 1: Preparations
Make sure that the motorcycle is on a stable surface and the engine is parked. Wear suitable safety clothing and gloves.
Step 2: Tools and materials
You need a wrench, a cross slot screwdriver, insulating tape and the new LED blinkers with an e-test mark and the right resistances.
Step 3: Remove the old indicators
Screw the old indicators and carefully separate the cables. Make sure that no cables are damaged.
Step 4: Installation of the new indicators
Attach the new LED indicators to the same place where the old indicators were. Make sure you sit tight.
Step 5: Connecting the resistance
Connect the resistors in parallel to the new blinker cables. Use insulating tape to secure the connections and avoid a short circuit.
Step 6: Functional test
Turn on the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Make sure that you flash properly and that no error messages are displayed.
How often should I check the indicators?
It is recommended to check the indicators for functionality every few months, especially before long journeys.
What to do if the indicators flash quickly?
A quick flashing can indicate that a turn signal is defective or has not been properly connected. Check the connection and functionality of the indicators.
