Step 1: Preparation

Make sure you have all the tools you need: screwdriver, pliers and the new LED indicators with resistances. Also switch off the ignition of your Aprilia Tuono 660.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Open the blinker cover and remove the screws that hold the old indicators. Disconnect the cable connection and carefully remove the old turn signals.

Step 3: attach resistance

Connect the resistances according to the instructions to the cables of the new LED blinker. Make sure to observe the polarity and to isolate the connections well.

Step 4: Install new turn signals

Attach the new LED indicators at the point of the old indicators. Put on the screws tightly and make sure that everything is mounted stable.

Step 5: Test the indicators

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash correctly and whether the resistors work properly.

Step 6: Care of the indicators

Clean the turn signals regularly with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agent to ensure visibility. Avoid aggressive chemicals that could damage the material.

How often should I check the indicators?

It is recommended to check the indicators for functionality at least once a month, especially before long journeys.

Can I install the LED indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the LED blinkers can usually be carried out yourself as long as you have basic knowledge of motorcycle mechanics.
