2 LED turn signal black resistances [E-test mark]-Suzuki GSX-S750 S950 S1000

Step 1: Preparation

Make sure you have all the tools and materials required: LED turn signals, resistances, screwdrivers, pliers and insulating tape.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the battery. Loosen the screws of the old indicators and pull the cables off. Dispose of the old indicators properly.

Step 3: Connect resistance

Connect the resistances to the cables of the new LED indicators. Make sure to use the right cables and to isolate the connections well to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Assemble the new LED indicators at the intended area. Pull the screws tight, but don't overturn them to avoid damage.

Step 5: function test

Connect the battery again and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash properly and have the right speed.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

Check the function of the turn signals and the cable connections regularly. Clean the turn signals with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.

Question 1: Are the resistance necessary?

Yes, the resistors are necessary to adapt the flashing frequency of the LED indicators to that of the motorcycle, since LED blinkers use less electricity than conventional light bulbs.

Question 2: Where can I buy replacement resistances?

Replacement resistances can be purchased in motorcycle shops, online shops or electronics shops. Make sure you choose the right specifications.
