Step 1: Make preparations

Before you start installing the new LED blinkers, make sure you have all the tools you need. This includes a wrench, a screwdriver, pliers and insulating tape. Also separate the battery of your Honda Africa Twin to avoid short -circuit.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Screw the brackets of the old turn signals and carefully pull off the cables. Make sure not to damage cables that are important for other functions.

Step 3: Mount new LED indicators

Take the new LED blinker and attach them to the same place as the old indicators. Use the supplied screws and brackets. Make sure you sit firmly but do not overlook.

Step 4: Install resistance

The LED blinkers need resistance to keep the flashing frequency correctly. Connect the resistors in parallel with the indicators. Make sure to consider the polarity and to secure the connections well.

Step 5: Check connections

Check all electrical connections and make sure that you are firm and correct. Use insulating tape to protect the connections and avoid short circuits.

Step 6: Perform the function test

Connect the battery again and test the new LED blinker. Make sure that you flash evenly and that no error messages are displayed in the dashboard.

How long do the LED indicators last?

LED blinkers usually have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which makes it much more durable than conventional light bulbs.

Can I also install the indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the indicators can usually be carried out by everyone with a little technical understanding. Make sure you carefully follow the instructions.
