Step 1: Preparation

Make sure your motorcycle is on a stable surface. Wear gloves and make sure that the engine is switched off. Collect all the required tools and materials such as screwdrivers, pliers and the new LED indicators with resistances.

Step 2: Remove the old indicators

Start removing the old indicators. Loosen the screws that hold the indicators in their place and pull the plugs off. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: Installation of the new indicators

Take the new LED indicators and put the plugs into the corresponding cables. Attach the turn signals with the supplied screws to the intended area. Make sure that the indicators sit safely.

Step 4: Connection of the resistance

To adapt the flashing frequency, you must connect the resistances. Connect the resistors in parallel to the new blinker cables. Make sure you observe the polarity to ensure correct function.

Step 5: Test the turn signal

Before you complete the installation, test the turn signals. Turn on the ignition and press the turn signal lever. Check whether all indicators work properly and the flashing frequency is correct.

Step 6: Completion of the installation

After you have ensured that everything works, secure the cables with cable ties and put the covers back on. Finally, check whether everything is firmly sitting and no loose cables are visible.

How long do the LED indicators last?

The lifespan of the LED indicators can be between 30,000 and 50,000 hours depending on the use and quality.
