Step 1: Preparation

Before starting work, make sure that you have all the tools you need. This includes a wrench, pliers and possibly a cross slot screwdriver. Wear gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself from injuries.

Step 2: Remove the gas train

Open the motorcycle cladding to get access to the gas train. Separate the gas train from the throttle valve by loosening the screw and pulling out the train. Make sure not to damage any other cables or parts.

Step 3: Install new gas train

Take the new gas train and guide it through the appropriate brackets. Connect the train to the throttle valve again and tighten the screw to ensure that the train sits properly.

Step 4: Setting the gas train

Set the gas train so that it has a slight tension when the throttle grip is in the closed position. This ensures that the gas train works smoothly and the motorcycle reacts correctly.

Step 5: Test the function

Start the motorcycle and test the throttle. Check whether the gas train works correctly by gently turning the handle. Make sure that the engine reacts immediately and no stipper occurs.

Step 6: Care of the gas train

To extend the lifespan of the gas train, clean it regularly and smear the moving parts with a suitable lubricant. Check the train for wear and replace it if necessary.

How often should I check the gas train?

It is recommended to check the gas train at least once a season, especially before longer trips.

What should I do when the gas train is stuck?

When the gas train is stuck, first check the setting and the lubrication. If the problem continues, the train could be damaged and should be replaced.
