Step 1: Preparation
Before you start installation, make sure that you have all the required tools and materials. This includes the new LED indicators, resistors, screwdrivers, pliers and insulating tape.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Switch off the motorcycle and remove the old indicators. Loosen the screws and separate the cable connections. Make sure not to damage the cables.
Step 3: Mount new indicators
Attach the new LED indicators in the same place as the old ones. Pull the screws tight, but be careful not to overturn the indicators.
Step 4: Install resistance
Install the supplied resistances in parallel with the LED indicators. This is important to adapt the flashing frequency. Make sure to connect the cables correctly.
Step 5: Check cabling
Check all cable connections for strength and correctness. Make sure that there are no loose wires and everything is safe.
Step 6: Perform the function test
Turn on the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash correctly and have the right frequency. If necessary, check the cabling again.
Question 1: Are the LED indicators weatherproof?
Yes, most LED blinkers are weatherproof and suitable for use in different weather conditions.
Question 2: Do I need special tools for installation?
