Step 1: Preparation
Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface. Wear suitable protective gloves and provide all the required tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers and possibly a soldering iron.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Start removing the old indicators. Loosen the screws that hold the indicators in their place and separate the electrical connections. Make sure not to damage the cabling.
Step 3: Mount new indicators
Use the new LED indicators in the brackets. Attach them with the screws and make sure you sit tight. Connect the electrical lines according to the color label.
Step 4: Install resistance
To adapt the flashing frequency, install the supplied resistances. These should be installed near the turn signal cables to avoid overheating. Solve the connections or use wired plugs.
Step 5: Checking the function
Turn on the motorcycle and test the flashing lights. Check whether all indicators work correctly and have the right frequency. If not, check the connections and the resistances.
Step 6: Care of the indicators
Clean the turn signals regularly with a mild cleaning agent. Make sure that no moisture gets into the electrical connections to avoid corrosion.
What is the e-test mark?
