Step 1: Preparation

Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface. Switch off the ignition and remove the key. Prepare all the tools you need: screwdriver, pliers and possibly a soldering iron.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Remove the covers of the old indicators to vacate the screws. Loosen the screws with a screwdriver and carefully pull off the turn signals. Separate the cables of the old indicators by pulling out the connecting plugs.

Step 3: Connect resistance

Connect the new resistances according to the instructions supplied. Make sure to consider the polarity. If necessary, use a soldering iron to make the connections safe. Isolate the soldering points well.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Place the new LED indicators to the places provided and attach them to the screws. Make sure that the indicator base are tight. Connect the cables of the new turn signals to the existing cables.

Step 5: function test

Turn on the ignition and test the new turn signals. Check whether all flashing lights work correctly. If the turn signal speed is too fast, it could be because the resistance is not properly connected.

Step 6: Care instructions

Clean the turn signals regularly with a soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Check the cables and connections regularly for wear or damage. Store the motorcycle in a dry place to avoid rust formation.

LED blinkers have a long lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which makes it an excellent choice.

Can I install the indicators myself?

Yes, the installation of the indicators can usually be carried out by any with basic mechanical knowledge.
