Step 1: Preparation

Before you start installing, make sure that you have all the required tools and materials at hand. This includes the new LED indicators, resistances with e-test marks, wrenches, a screwdriver and insulating tape. Also wear gloves so as not to damage the sensitive parts.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the key. Dry the screws of the old indicators with the screwdriver or wrench and carefully pull them off. Make sure not to damage the cables. Separate the electrical connections and put the old indicators aside.

Step 3: Install resistors

Before you connect the new LED blinker, install the resistances. Connect a resistance to each of the turn signal connections. Make sure to consider the polarity. Isolate the connections well with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Now you can attach the new LED blinker. Connect the cables of the turn signals with the corresponding connections and attach the turn signals to the screws. Make sure they sit tight and don't wobble.

Step 5: carry out the function test

Start the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash properly and whether the resistors work correctly. If everything is fine, you can continue with the next phase.

Step 6: Care instructions

In order to extend the lifespan of your LED indicators, they regularly clean them with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agent. Check the electrical connections to corrosion and add the screws if necessary.

Question 1: Why do I need resistance for LED blinkers?

LED blinkers need resistors to maintain the correct flashing frequency. Without them there can be a quick flashing or even a failure of the indicators.

Question 2: Where can I find the right resistance to my model?

You can find the right resistors for your motorcycle model in the operating instructions or in specialist shops. Make sure you have an e-test mark to comply with the road traffic regulations.
