Step 1: Make preparations
Before you start installation, make sure that you have all the tools you need: screwdriver, pliers, cable cutters and insulating tape. Switch off the motorcycle and remove the key from the ignition lock.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Remove the covers of the old indicators. Loosen the screws and carefully pull off the turn signals. Separate the cable connections and make sure that no parts are in the way.
Step 3: Prepare resistance
Connect the resistances to the new LED indicators. Make sure to connect the right cables. Isolate the connections with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.
Step 4: Install new turn signals
Place the new LED indicators to the places provided and attach them to the screws. Make sure you sit tight and don't wobble.
Step 5: Check functionality
Turn on the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash correctly and whether the resistors work properly. Make sure that no error messages appear on the display.
Step 6: Care of the indicators
Clean the turn signals regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Check the cabling for damage and replace defective parts immediately.
How often should the indicators be checked?
It is recommended to check the indicators at least once a month, especially before long journeys.
What to do if the indicators don't work?
First check the wiring and resistances. If everything is fine, the turn signal could be defective and must be replaced.
