Step 1: Make preparations

Before you start installing the LED blinkers, make sure that you have all the required tools and materials. These include: 4 LED turn signals, resistances with e-test mark, a screwdriver, pliers and insulating tape.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the protective cover of the indicators. Dry the screws or clips that hold the old indicators and pull off the plugs. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: Install resistors

To correctly operate the LED indicators, you have to install the resistors. Connect every resistance in parallel with the new indicators. This reduces the flashing frequency and ensures a correct function. Isolate the connections well with insulating tape.

Step 4: Mount new LED indicators

Place the new LED blinkers in the place of the old indicator and attach them to the screws or clips. Make sure that the indicators sit tight and don't wiggle.

Step 5: Functional test

Turn on the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash evenly and have the right brightness. If necessary, check the wiring and resistors.

Step 6: Care of the indicators

In order to extend the lifespan of your LED indicators, they regularly clean them with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents that could damage the surface.

How often should I check the indicators?

It is recommended to check the indicators with every oil change or at least once a year to ensure that they work perfectly.

Can I also use the resistances somewhere else?

Yes, the resistance can also be used for other LED applications as long as the specifications match. Make sure you choose the right wattage.
