Step 1: Make preparations

Before you start, make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials ready. This includes the new LED indicators, resistances with an e-test mark, a screwdriver, a pliers and insulating tape.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the battery to avoid short circuits. Loosen the screws of the old indicators and carefully pull off the cables. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: Install resistors

Install the resistors in parallel with the new LED indicators. Connect the cables of the resistors to the cables of the turn signals and secure the connections with insulating tape. Make sure that the resistors are safely assembled.

Step 4: Mount new LED indicators

Place the new LED blinkers in the place of the old indicator and tighten the screws. Make sure that the turn signal unit sits well and not wobbles.

Step 5: Test indicators

Connect the battery again and test the turn signals. Check whether all LED indicators flash correctly and evenly. If there are problems, check the cable connections and the resistances.

Step 6: completion and care

After everything works, clean the area around the indicators. Check the function of the turn signals and the connections regularly to ensure long -term security.

How long do LED turn signals last?

LED blinkers usually have a longer lifespan than conventional light bulbs, often up to 50,000 hours, depending on the quality and use.

Can I omit the resistance?

No, the resistances are necessary to ensure a correct flashing frequency and protect the motorcycle electronic system.
