Step 1: Preparation
Before you start installation, make sure that you have all the required tools and materials. These include: new LED turn signals, resistances, wrenches, insulating tape and a multimeter to check the electrical connections.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Start removing the old indicators from your Ducati Multistrada. Loosen the screws that hold the indicators in place and pull the plugs off. Make sure not to damage the cables.
Step 3: attach new indicators
Use the new LED blinkers to the place of the old. Confirm it with the appropriate screws and make sure that the plugs are properly connected.
Step 4: Install resistance
To stabilize the flashing frequency of the LED blinkers, you must install the resistances. Connect the resistances between the turn signal switch and the LED indicators. Pay attention to the correct polarity.
Step 5: function test
After everything is installed, test the new indicators. Turn on the ignition and press the indicator. Check whether the indicators shine evenly and without flickering.
Step 6: Care of the indicators
To extend the lifespan of your LED indicators, clean them regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and regularly check the cable connections for wear.
Question 1: Are the LED blinkers suitable for all Ducati Multistrada models?
The LED blinkers with resistors are specially designed for the Multistrada 821, 1000, 1100, V2 and V4 models.
Question 2: How often should I check the indicators?
It is recommended to check the indicators for their functionality at least once a month, especially before long journeys or after bad weather.
