Step 1: Make preparations
Before you start the conversion, make sure that you have all the necessary tools and materials ready. These include: screwdrivers, pliers, insulating tape and the new LED indicators with resistances.
Step 2: Remove old indicators
Switch off the motorcycle and remove the ignition. Dry the screws that hold the old turn signals in their place and carefully pull off the turn signal cables.
Step 3: Install new LED indicators
Place the new LED blinkers in the place of the old turn signal and pull them tight with the screws. Make sure that the cables are properly laid.
Step 4: Connect resistance
Connect the supplied resistances to the turn signal cables. These prevent the LED indicators from flashing too quickly. Make sure to isolate the connections well.
Step 5: carry out the function test
Start the motorcycle and test the new indicators. Check whether you flash correctly and whether the speed is even.
Step 6: Completion and care
After everything works, secure all cables with insulating tape. Clean the turn signals regularly to ensure visibility.
How often should the indicators be checked?
It is recommended to check the indicators at least once a month, especially before long journeys.
Can I install the LED indicators myself?
Yes, the installation is easy and can be easily carried out with the right tools and instructions.
