Step 1: Preparation

Before you start installation, make sure you have the right tools on hand. This includes a screwdriver, a cable cutter, an abrident and possibly additional cable connectors.

Step 2: Remove the old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and remove the battery to avoid a short circuit. Loosen the screws of the old indicators and pull the cables off. Dispose of the old indicators properly.

Step 3: Installation of the new LED blinkers

Use the new LED blinkers in the same places where the old indicators were. Attach them with the screws supplied and make sure you sit safely.

Step 4: Connection of the resistance

To ensure that the indicators work correctly, the resistances must be installed. Connect the resistors in parallel with the LED indicators. Make sure to correctly observe the polarity.

Step 5: function test

After everything is connected, connect the battery and test the flashing function. Check whether all indicators flash evenly and correctly.

Step 6: Care of the indicators

To extend the lifespan of your new LED blinker, clean them regularly with a soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Avoid aggressive chemicals that could damage the material.

LED blinkers usually have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, which makes it much more durable than conventional incandescent lamps.

Yes, resistors are necessary to ensure a correct flashing frequency if you switch from conventional indicators to LED blinkers.
