Step 1: Preparation
Make sure your motorcycle is on a stable surface and the engine is parked. Wear protective clothing and gloves.
Step 2: Tools and Material
You need a screwdriver, a pliers, insulating tape and the new LED blinkers with the corresponding resistors.
Step 3: Expansion of the old indicators
Start loosening the screws that attach the old turn signals to the bracket. Carefully separate the cable connections to avoid damage.
Step 4: Installation of the new LED blinkers
Place the new LED blinkers to the places intended and screw them tight. Make sure that the indicators sit safely.
Step 5: Connection of the resistances
Connect the resistors in parallel to the LED indicators to ensure a correct function. Isolate the connections with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.
Step 6: Functional test
Check the function of the new turn signals by starting the motorcycle and pressing the turn signals. Make sure that you flash properly both left and right.
Question 1: Do the resistance have to be installed?
Yes, the resistors are necessary to correctly blink the indicators and to prevent the warning indicator from being activated.
Question 2: What to do if the indicators don't work?
Check all the connections and make sure that the resistors are correctly connected. Test the turn signals again and replace defective parts if necessary.
