Yamaha TDM 900 [2002-2013] - Tanking Basic including counterpart tank sac

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Yamaha TDM 900/A motorcycle model and covers the construction years 2002 to 2013. This accessory makes it easier to assemble tank bags on the machine mentioned.

In the scope of delivery of this product is the tanking basic and a customizable counter holder, which is installed depending on the shape of the tank and the handlebars on the tank bag. The fuel lid can also be easily opened with assembled tanking.

Characteristics of tanking

• The tank bag is kept stable, even at high driving speeds.
• A mechanical lock enables easy operation.
• The tank bag is assembled by simply putting on the tanking, whereby the snapping is clearly audible.
• Unlocking is done via a belt on the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload of the tank bag is about 3 kg.
• It is recommended to observe the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information on the instructions or the product.

The tanking basic has a purely mechanical lock, in contrast to the Lock-IT fenkringen, which also use magnets for centering. However, both tanking variants use the same model -specific metal ring.

It should also be noted that tank bags with lock-IT opposite holders cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa. Tank sack counterfeiters and tanking must come from the same system.
