Overview

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Yamaha YZF-R6 models of the construction years 2017 to 2021. This accessories are used to secure tank bags from the Hepco & Becker brand and is characterized by simple handling.

• Mechanical locking enables easy up and secure locking of the tank bag
• The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled tanking
• The backpack is unlocked by a tensile mechanism on the belt of the backpack in the direction of travel
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system
• Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload of the tank bag: approx. 3 kg

Compatibility and installation

The tanking basic is delivered with a counter holder, which is adapted to the motorcycle according to the tank shape and the handlebar and mounted on the tank bag. The installation is uncomplicated and does not require any special tools.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model-specific metal ring, but the essays (magnetic vs. plastic domes) differ.

Further information

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible within the same system. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not mounted on a basic tanking and vice versa.
