This tanking basic from Hepco & Becker is specially designed for the Yamaha YZF-R6 models from the construction years 2009 to 2016. It serves the safe and easy installation of tank bags of the same manufacturer on the machine.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT system from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for the centering, the basic tanking is based exclusively on a mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

Additional Information

It should be noted that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible within the same system. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and Vice Versa.

The scope of delivery includes the basic tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. Even with assembled tanking, the tank cover remains fully accessible.
