Triumph Rocket III [2004-2017] - Tanking Basic including counterpart tank sac

The Hepco & Becker tanking basic is specially designed for the Triumph Rocket III motorcycle model, built in 2004 to 2017. This article enables a stable and secure attachment of a tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

In addition to the actual tanking, a corresponding counterholder is also included in the scope of delivery of the tanking basic, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the shape of the tank and the handle of the handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with fueling fueling, which ensures uncomplicated handling.

Technical details

• The tanking ensures a secure hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a simple mechanical locking, which signals an audible snapping when putting on.
• For unlocking, a mechanism that is located at the front of the tank backpack is operated, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking has locked purely mechanically, in contrast to the Lock-IT fenkringen, which also use magnets for the centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

Note that a tank bag with a lock-IT counter holder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa. It is necessary that both the counter holder and tanking come from the same system.
