The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Suzuki GS 500 E and GS 500 F models from the construction years 2001 to 2008. This accessories are used to secure a tank bag and is a practical solution for motorcyclists who need additional storage space.

Properties of tanking

The tanking enables easy assembly of the tank bag on the machine. The backpack is securely fixed by a mechanical lock and can be quickly resolved again by a simple mechanism on the backpack. Access to the tank cover remains unimpeded even with the ring mounted, which ensures uncomplicated handling.

Scope of delivery and assembly

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is attached to the tank shape in accordance with the tank shape and the handlebar. The assembly of the system is uncomplicated and does not require any further adjustments or special tools.

Technical features and safety instructions

  • The tank bag locks safely and is stable even at higher speeds.
  • The unlocking takes place via a belt on the tank bag, which can easily be removed.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for this system.

Additional Information

Basic tanking differs from the Lock-IT system mainly by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for centering, the locking is purely mechanically on the basic model.
