The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model GSX 8R of the construction years 2024 to 2025. This accessory enables a safe and easy assembly of a tank bag on the machine.

Product features and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and a customizable counter holder for the tank bag, which is mounted depending on the tank shape and handlebar. The tank lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached, which the use is considerably simplified.

Installation and compatibility

The assembly of the tanking is uncomplicated. For the installation you only need the tanking and a compatible tank bag for the GSX 8R model. Further information on compatibility with various tank bags can be found in the "My Bike" database or via the checklist in the online shop.

• The tanking offers a secure hold, even at high speeds.
• A mechanical lock makes operation easier.
• The tank backpack can be securely attached to the tankring by an audible click and simply loosen through a belt.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended payload in the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the basic tanking is mechanically locked, the lock-IT model also supports magnets the centering of the tank bag. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

In addition, it should be noted that tank bags with lock-IT counter holder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa.
