Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for Suzuki GSF 650

This product from Hepco & Becker, the tanking basic, was specially developed for the Suzuki GSF 650 N/S Bandit models without ABS of the 2005-2006. The tanking enables a safe and practical attachment of tank bags of the same manufacturer to the motorcycle machine.

In addition to the tanking, the scope of delivery of the tanking basic also includes an adaptable counterholder, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and handlebar. The assembly of the tankring does not affect the accessibility of the tank cover, which can be opened without any problems.

Technical features and operation

  • The tanking guarantees a firm hold even at higher speeds.
  • A simple handling is made possible by a mechanical lock.
  • Hepco & Becker's tank bag is easy to put on and races audibly.
  • The unlocking takes place via a belt in the front area of the tank bag, which makes it easier to lose weight.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The recommended maximum weight for payload in the tank bag is around 3 kg.

It is important to observe the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information on assembly and use, which are provided with the product.

Differences to other models

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

Please note that tank bags and counterholder of the lock-IT system are not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa.
