Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for Suzuki GSX 1100 R

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Suzuki GSX 1100 R from the years 1991 to 1992. This accessory enables a safe and practical attachment of a tank bag directly to the motorcycle tank.

Product details

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic, which is delivered together with a special counter holder. Depending on the tank shape and handlebar, the counter holder can be flexibly attached to the tank bag. Even when fueling is attached, access to the tank cover remains unimpeded.

No further parts are necessary to install the tanking. Combined with a suitable tank bag for the Suzuki GSX 1100 R, this system offers a complete solution for taking luggage on the motorcycle.

Properties of tanking

  • The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high speeds.
  • A mechanical lock enables easy operation.
  • The tank backpack can be securely attached to the tankring by an audible click and simply loosen through a belt at the front of the backpack.
  • The use of the tank bag system does not require a general operating license (ABE) in Germany or an entry in the vehicle documents.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Please always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information on assembly and use that are delivered with the product.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking mechanically locks, in contrast to the Lock-IT fenkringen, which also work with magnets for centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function.
