The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10 R from the year of construction 2011 to 2015. This accessory enables a stable and secure attachment of a tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product properties and assembly

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counterholder that is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar impact on the tank bag. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which the use considerably simplifies.

Characteristics of the tanking basic

• The tanking ensures a secure hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds.
• The operation is carried out via a mechanical locking that enables easy putting on and ensuring safe snapping of the tank bag.
• The backpack is unlocked by means of a train on the belt in the direction of travel, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
• The use of a tank bag system does not require a general operating license (ABE) in Germany or an entry in the vehicle documents.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload for the tank bag is around 3 kg.

Differences to other tanking models

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the basic tanking is mechanically locked, the lock-IT model also supports magnets the centering of the tank bag. However, both models use the same model -specific metal ring.

In addition, it should be noted that tank sac countertakers and tanking must be compatible and cannot be exchanged between the Basic and Lock-IT systems.
