Another advantage is the extremely low self -discharge rate, which together with the high vibrating resistance ensures a long service life and reliability.

Care and maintenance

In order to maximize the longevity of your battery, please note the following information:

• Use the battery exclusively according to your destiny.
• Keep the surface of the battery clean and dry to avoid creeping currents and associated self -discharge.
• Check the fill level of the battery regularly and fill in cleaned water if necessary.
• Have the charge controller checked regularly by a specialist, especially with high water loss.

The ideal charging status of the battery should be at least 75 % to ensure optimal performance. This can be determined either by measuring the resting voltage or with an acid lifter. Regular review and, if necessary, recharging is particularly important for vehicles that are only used seasonally or have longer stand phases.

Note that a deep discharge of the battery is usually due to a lack of care and can lead to total failure. The ideal storage temperature during a standing phase is between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius to minimize the self -discharge and water loss.
