The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Ducati Desertx model 2024-2025 model. This innovative fastening element enables the safe and easy assembly of a corresponding tank bag directly on the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical locking, which enables a clearly audible snapping on the ring when the backpack puts on the ring.
• The unlocking and removal of the backpack takes place easily and quickly by pressing a belt on the front part of the backpack in the direction of travel.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for the use of the tank bag system.
• The maximum recommended speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload for the tank bag is around 3 kg.

In addition to the tanking, the tanking basic also includes a customizable counterholder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.

Comparison with Lock-IT fenkringen

While the basic functioning and operation of the two tanking systems is identical, the basic tanking is different from the purely mechanical locking. In contrast, the centering of the tank backpack supports additional magnets with the lock-IT system. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but the screwed -down domes are made of different materials.

It is important that tank bag and tanking must be compatible and from the same system to ensure correct function.
