The Hepco & Becker tanking basic was specially developed for the Ducati Desertx model and is compatible with the construction years 2022 to 2025. This product enables the safe and easy attachment of a tank bag directly to the motorcycle.

Product features and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and an adaptable counter holder, which can be attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar stroke of the motorcycle. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with fueling fueling, which makes it easier to use.

Assembly and security

• The tanking ensures a firm hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• The operation takes place via a mechanical locking, which signals a clearly audible snapping of the tank bag.
• The tank bag is unlocked simply by pressing a belt on the front part of the backpack in the direction of travel.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Differences to other tanking systems

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the lock-IT fueling also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

A notice: A tank bag with a lock-IT counter holder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that tank sac countertakers and tanking come from the same system.
