Product description: Tanking Basic for BMW S 1000 XR

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW S 1000 XR of the construction years 2024 to 2025. This accessory enables the Hepco & Becker brand to be secured and easy to attach to the Hepco & Becker brand.

The scope of delivery of the product includes the tanking basic and an adaptable counter holder, which is installed depending on the tank shape and the handlebar attack on the tank bag. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which does not restrict the use of the motorcycle.

No further adjustments to the motorcycle are required to install the tanking. Together with a compatible tank bag, the tanking basic forms a functional unit that is designed for the needs of motorcyclists.

• Easy handling through mechanical locking
• Auditive confirmation of correct assembly through clear snapping
• The backpack is unlocked via a frontally attached belt
• No statutory approval (ABE) required in Germany

• Permissible maximum weight in the tank bag: approx. 3 kg

Differences to other tanking systems

Basic tanking differs from the lock-it system mainly by the type of locking. While the lock-IT fueling also works with magnets for the centering, the basic tanking is based exclusively on a mechanical lock. Both systems use the same metal ring, but the attached components (magnets at Lock-IT, plastic domes in the basic) are different.

In addition, it should be noted that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function.
