The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the motorcycle model BMW K 1200 R Sport of the construction years 2007-2008. This article serves as a reliable interface between the tank of the machine and a compatible tank bag from Hepco & Becker.

The tanking enables problem -free use of the tank cover even when the tank bag is attached. The assembly of the tanking and the associated counter holder is adapted to the specific tank shape and the handlebars of the motorcycle, which enables an individual adjustment.

Differences to other tanking systems: Compared to the Lock-IT fenuso fuel from Hepco & Becker, who also work with magnets for centering, the Basic Tankring offers purely mechanical locking without magnetic support. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the type of dome mounted on the ring.

Further information: A tank bag that is designed for the lock-IT system is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa, since both products are based on different fastening systems.
