Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for BMW F 800 GS

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the BMW F 800 GS models of the construction years 2024 to 2025. It enables safe and easy attachment of tank bags of the same manufacturer on the motorcycle.

The scope of delivery of this product includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and the handlebar. Even when fueling is attached, access to the tank cover remains unimpeded.

For installation, no further components apart from the tanking and a compatible tank bag are required for the model mentioned. The installation of the tanking is uncomplicated and does not require any special tools or extensive technical knowledge.

Characteristics of tanking

• Stable hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds
• The assembly is carried out by a mechanical locking that ensures simple handling
• The tank bag is placed on the tanking and is clearly audible
• To loosen the backpack, the unlocking mechanism is operated, which is located at the front of the tank backpack
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) is necessary for the operation of the tank bag system

Basic tanking differs from the Lock-IT tanking mainly by the type of locking. While the basic tanking mechanically locked, the lock-IT fueling magnets support the centering of the backpack. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

Further information on the compatibility of tank bags and tanking is important: a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tankring and vice versa. It must be ensured that both components belong to the same system.
