The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the BMW R 1250 RS motorcycle model and compatible with the years of construction in 2019 to 2025. This product enables a safe and easy assembly of a tank bag directly on the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product features

• Stable, even at high speeds
• Mechanical locking for simple handling
• Clearly audible locking when putting on the Hepco & Becker tank bag
• Unlocking is done by pressing a belt on the tank bag in the direction of travel
• No general operating license (ABE) or entry in vehicle documents in Germany
• Maximum recommendation for the speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload in the tank bag: approx. 3 kg

The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which the use considerably simplifies. The scope of delivery includes the tanking and a customizable counter holder for the tank bag, which can be installed individually depending on the shape of the tank and handlebar.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to systems such as the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, with the main difference in the fastening of the tank bag.

For further information, it is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be systematic. A tank bag with a lock-IT counter holder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa.
