The Hepco & Becker tanking basic has been specially developed for the BMW R 1250 R motorcycle model and compatible with the construction years 2019 to 2025. This product serves the safe and easy attachment of a tank bag on the machine.

Product features and assembly

The scope of delivery of the tanking basic contains both the tanking itself and a customizable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar. The tank lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached, which the use is considerably simplified.

Technical details

• The tanking ensures a secure hold, even at higher speeds.
• The operation is carried out via a mechanical lock, which enables a clearly audible snapping of the tank bag.
• To unlock the mechanism, the mechanism is operated by a belt on the front part of the tank bag, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload of the tank bag is around 3 kg.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the lock-IT fueling also works with magnets for centering, the basic model is mechanical. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

For attention: A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It must be ensured that tank sac countertakers and tanking belong to the same system.
