The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW R 12 Ninet of the years 2024 to 2025. This accessory is used to secure a corresponding tank bag from Hepco & Becker.

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and an adaptable counter holder. The counter holder can be installed on the tank bag depending on the shape of the tank and the handle of the handlebar. The fuel cap remains completely accessible with assembled tanking, which uses use considerably.

Differences to other tanking systems

Basic tanking differs from the lock-it system mainly by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for the centering, the locking is purely mechanical for basic tanking. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It should be noted that tank sac countertakers and tanking must be from the same system to ensure compatibility. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and vice versa.
