Product description: Tanking Basic for BMW R 12

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the BMW R 12 motorcycle model, built in 2024 to 2025. This product enables safe and practical attachment of tank bags to the machine.

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is installed depending on the tank shape and the handlebars on the tank bag. Even with attached tanking, access to the tank cover remains without restriction.

To install the tanking, you do not need any further item except a compatible tank bag for the BMW R 12 model from construction year 2024.

Features:

• Stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds
• Easy handling through mechanical locking
• Clearly audible snapping of the tank bag on the tanking
• Unlocking is done by a train on the belt of the tank bag in the direction of travel
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or entry is required for fuel sac systems
• Maximum recommendation for the speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg

Basic tanking differs from the Lock-IT tanking mainly by the type of locking; The basic tanking has a purely mechanical locking, while the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets to support the centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank sac countertakers and tanking must be compatible and cannot be used across system.
